Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare the baking sheet.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until pale and creamy.
- Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing until just combined.
- Roll out the dough to ¼ to ⅙ inch thickness.
- Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and transfer to the baking sheet.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 3-4 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
