- 1 cup uncooked white jasmine rice
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- Garnish (optional): scallions, sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook jasmine rice according to package directions.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the lean ground beef for 8-10 minutes.
- Mix brown sugar, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, ginger, and garlic into the browned beef.
- Add chopped red bell pepper to the beef mixture and sauté until tender.
- Serve beef mixture over the cooked jasmine rice, garnished with scallions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Use a non-stick skillet for easier cleanup.
Feel free to use any vegetables you have on hand.
Adjust sriracha based on spice preference.
