- 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
- 2/3 cup thick salsa or picante sauce (mild, medium, or hot)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp granulated garlic or garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
- 2–3 cups chopped cooked chicken
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup chopped green onion
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 6 extra-large burrito-size tortillas
- Optional for serving: salsa, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole
Instructions
- Whip cream cheese, salsa, sour cream, taco seasoning, salt, garlic powder, and lemon pepper until smooth.
- Gently fold in chicken, cheddar cheese, green onion, and cilantro.
- Lay tortillas flat; spread mixture, leaving a 1/2 inch border.
- Roll tortillas tightly from the widest side; seal seam side down.
- Wrap rolled tortillas in plastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours.
- Slice into 8 pinwheels and serve with optional dips.
Notes
Using fresh chicken enhances flavor; rotisserie chicken is a great time-saving alternative.
Ensure cream cheese is fully softened for easy mixing.
Chill the pinwheels longer for improved flavor melding.
