- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lemon (divided)
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (plus extra for garnish)
- 1 tsp salt (divided)
- 1 tsp black pepper (divided)
- 1 celery rib, diced
- 2 green onions, diced
- 2 tsp chives, chopped
- 5 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 4 rolls or hot dog buns
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Boil water in pot with lemon juice, lemon halves, dill, salt, and pepper.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Set aside to cool.
- Dice celery, green onions, chives, and dill. In a bowl, combine with mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Gently stir in the cooled shrimp. Chill for enhanced flavors if desired.
- Brush buns with butter and toast under the broiler until golden.
- Assemble by filling toasted buns with shrimp salad and garnish with dill.
Notes
Don’t overcook the shrimp to maintain tenderness.
