- 1 large Egg
- 3/4 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- 3/4 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese (high-quality)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Italian Parsley (diced)
- 24–32 ounces Marinara Sauce
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese (or more to taste)
- 4 Slices French Bread or Sub Rolls
- Butter for toasting
Instructions
- Combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, panko, parsley, egg, and Parmesan in a bowl.
- Roll the mixture into 1-2 inch meatballs.
- Brown the meatballs in olive oil for 5-7 minutes.
- Simmer browned meatballs in marinara sauce for 20 minutes.
- Toast the sub rolls with butter in the oven.
- Assemble by layering meatballs and cheese in the rolls, then broil until cheese melts.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
