Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
- Beat butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in lemon juice and zest.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, mixing until smooth.
- Scoop dough onto cookie sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 11-13 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool cookies on a wire rack.
- Mix glaze ingredients and top cookies with glaze, letting it set.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for better mixing.
Freshly squeezed lemon juice enhances the flavor.
Cool cookies completely before glazing to avoid melting.
