Ingredients

- 1 lb (454g) ripe mango flesh (about 1 ½ lbs or 680g fresh mango, peeled and diced)
- 2 teaspoons fresh lime or lemon juice (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons water
- â…“ cup sugar (or to taste)
- A few pinches of salt
Instructions
- Peel and dice fresh mangoes into 1 ½ cups of puree.
- Blend mango puree with lime juice, water, sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Strain mixture through a fine mesh strainer.
- Refrigerate mixture for about 2 hours.
- Churn in an ice cream maker for about 20 minutes.
- Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
- Let sit at room temperature a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use perfectly ripe mangoes for best flavor.
Adjust sweetness and acidity to taste before freezing.
No ice cream maker? Stir in a shallow dish every 30 minutes until frozen.
