Instructions
- Melt unsalted butter in a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat, add flour gradually while stirring to create a smooth roux.
- Pour milk slowly while whisking until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in ketchup and spices until well combined.
- Add the cubed Velveeta and stir constantly until melted.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips or veggies.
Notes
Use a heavy-bottom pan to prevent burning.
Stir continuously for a smooth texture.
