- 1 â…“ cup brown sugar (270 g)
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cup all-purpose flour (300 g)
- ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (193 g)
- 2 cups Oreo pieces (about 14 cookies, 160 g)
- More Oreos for topping
Instructions
- Beat melted butter and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla; mix until fluffy.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; mix well.
- Combine dry and wet ingredients until just incorporated.
- Fold in Oreo pieces and chocolate chips.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Portion dough onto a baking sheet; chill for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 14-15 minutes.</li>
- Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Using room temperature ingredients helps with incorporation.
