- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes until fork-tender for 15-20 minutes.
- Drain and mash potatoes with milk and butter until creamy.
- Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in a skillet.
- Add carrots and peas, seasoning to taste; cook for 5 minutes.
- Thicken the mixture with flour slurry, beef broth, and tomato sauce.
- Layer beef mixture in a casserole dish, then top with mashed potatoes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until heated through.
Notes
Use starchy potatoes for the best texture.
