- ¾ cup milk, heated warm to the touch
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 2â…“ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1½ teaspoons dried rosemary
- 5 tablespoons softened butter
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Combine yeast and sugar in a bowl; add warm milk and let sit until foamy.
- Mix in softened butter, egg, flour, salt, garlic powder, avocado oil, and dried rosemary to knead into soft dough.
- Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Mix softened butter with rosemary, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder for the garlic butter.
- Divide risen dough into 10-12 pieces, flatten each piece, and spread garlic butter on top.
- Fold and layer these pieces in a greased loaf pan; let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F, bake for about 50 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Make sure the milk is warm, not hot, to keep the yeast alive.
Let the dough rise in a draft-free area for optimal expansion.
