- 4 tbsp (1/4 cup) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp granulated white sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp skim milk
- 1 tbsp melted unsalted butter
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon (for garnish)
- 1/2 tbsp granulated white sugar (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a microwave-safe mug, mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon).
- Add wet ingredients (milk, butter, vanilla) and stir until smooth.
- In a small bowl, combine garnish ingredients (cinnamon and sugar) and mix.
- Layer half of the batter in the mug, sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar on top.
- Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
- Microwave on full power for about 1 minute, checking for doneness.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use a large mug to prevent overflow during cooking.
Check the cake closely while microwaving to avoid overcooking.
Consider adding a pinch of nutmeg for a deeper flavor.
